It’s got nothing to do with performance. Come talk to us in two years (or less) when the thing has become an unreliable, flaky piece of junk. When they work, sure, they work as well as anything else out there. But they don’t work reliably for long. I’ve owned them, I’ve sold them, and I’ve looked after countless D-Link powered networks for friends and clients, and inevitably the stuff goes flaky.
That being said, their Green line of products
seems promising, but any of that line that I’ve deployed is still under a year old (hey, sometimes you need something cheap and today, so you use what’s on the shelf), so it’s too early to tell.
