My brother is a CA. He does all my taxes, but makes it VERY clear that he is not at fault for any errors in reporting, or documents that I give him that may not be right. This is pretty standard practise for all accountants; they usually have you sign a waiver, but at the very least let you know that they are only preparing the taxes on your behalf, and YOU are sending them in.
You probably should have waited for your Notice of Assessment from the government, which will tell you if Revenue Canada agrees with your return or not.
