It's also funny that the owner of the Lions and Argos, David Braley, was the Tiger-Cats former owner who still retains season tickets at Ivor Winn.

I agree that having an owner own two teams is an obvious conflict of interest, however if you pay attention to what people say about David Braley, he's been silently keeping the league solvent in times of need. Apparently the reason why he owns both teams is simply because there was little interest in anyone buying either team the last time they were for sale and the league approached him each time to keep the league running. Also there has been word that when owners of other teams have in the past been unable to make salary payments et al, Braley has chipped in to keep the league from crumbling.

That all said, this is a league where when Doug Flutie was not getting paid by the Stamps, they simply made him available to Toronto 'for the good of the league.' This is a league where AJ Gass' diciplinary hearing was heard by a judge with Edmonton Eskimos season tickets. This is a league where they allowed Edmonton to trade away their backup QB for a running back, but let them retain both player's usage through a sucessful Grey Cup challange where said QB played the crucial role in allowing them to win the West Semi and West Final. .
