Sure she writes her music and songs, but thats not really a reflection of her being talented.
She's the Mayer Joe Quimby of the music scene, she knows which way the wind blows, figures out a formulatic approach and follows the wind.
But I wouldn't call her ground shakingly talented and her lyrics are ridiculous.
