And I understand she's not able to legally consent... however is it not her that broke the law and not him? Or is it up to the 16 year old to know the law on this? Man I am confused.

The reality is kids do stupid things, and peer pressure is one of the worst kinds of pressures out there. We were all kids once. I'm sure we've all had at least some experiences where we've done some pretty stupid things that we knew was bad, but we still did it because we were egged on by our peers.

I agree with Peter12 that society is collapsing around us, and the better indication of this is the sad fact that so many posters on this forum seem to think a 16 year old MAN having sex with a 12 year old GIRL, really isn't that big a deal.
