So I did some more research on this, and apparently, the BIMP (International Bureau of Weights and Measures) does not specify a standard for pronunciation of SI units. They only set standards on the abbreviations, so a km is a km worldwide.
That being said, I stand by keelo-meter as the correct pronunciation, since meter is a french word, and they pronounce it keelo (more or less)
