The move is smart for CBS because they'll hold on to their Monday stronghold even if Mike & Molly is only modest, now they have a big Wednesday stake with Survivor and Criminal Minds, and Big Bang + Shatner on Thursdays speaks for itself.

the Big Bang Theory is not really a 930 show though, and it used to be on at 8 and 830 in its first few years
its also going up against Community (a show I like but isn't highly rated) Bones (modestly rated) and a new show from ABC
Its a time slot that is definitely up for grabs on thursday, they all ready have the highest rated shows at 9 and 10 with CSI and the Mentalist
I would be very surprised if the Big Bang Theory wasn`t the #1 show in its time slot
its very smart for CBS as well because whatever is on after 2 and a half men gets massive ratings, and CBS thinks it can do that same thing with the BBT. It might not be as highly rated as it was at 930 behind 2 and a half men, but CBS will get higher ratings than if they kept it on mondays and put mike and molly and the shatner show on thursday
