My bother says all-exclusive resort. I say it must have no room, no food and no drinks because it would be the opposite of all-inclusive, which provides all of those things.

My mom taught English for many years and I've read books on English grammar as a hobby. I find if you speak English properly and occasionally make an effort to not end sentences with prepositions, you come across as a know-it-all.

I don't think it sounds pretentious at all to speak and write properly. I think it shows class, intelligence and care for the language. I respect anyone who writes and speaks well.
