Besides the ultimate point is not to demonize these things, just do it in moderation like anything else in life. It would be nice though if restaurants were forced to show people how much fat, salt, carbs, calories...

Yup... could not agree more.
Order a diet coke, and even a Big Mac meal is around 800-900 calories.
The Penne Alfredo at Earls alone (
http://www.earls.ca/food-menu/index....emid=61&id=173) is:
1521 calories
Now add chicken and you are looking at another 200 calories or so. Have a sundae for dessert and you are looking at 899.40 calories on top... so your Earls meal has three times the calories of a big mac meal.
And we haven't even gotten to the starters yet. A Spin/Art dip has 942 calories, wings 922 plus whatever's in the ranch sauce you have with it.
