The McD's Pizza was the bomb. I worked there back when they first started making them.
The problem was, after about a year or two, people just stopped ordering them. Yeah, we'd still get 2 or 3 orders per day, but nowhere compared to what it was before. Eventually it just got to be a huge pain to have someone looking after the pizzas and making sure there was enough in case we got an order.
They eventually switched to McCain's pre-made pizzas, and the quality took a dive. That made even LESS people want to order one, and eventually they got $#!+canned completely.
The problem with pizzas is it just spread the menu too thin. If people were buying them, you'd ideally have one person on pizza the whole time. But when it dropped off, they would push the responsibility to the guy making the McChicken/Filet o' Fish/McNuggets, meaning he'd have to go back and fourth between stations, wash his hands, then hope he didn't miss any orders for the McChicken/Filet o' Fish/McNuggets or run out while he was tending to pizzas. All this to sell 2-3 pizzas per day was just not good use of time.
