To this date, 9 years in, not one electronics company has found a iPod, iPhone, iPad "killer". You can make the argument about Andriod phones, but software wise they are not at an iPhone level. They are still quite buggy, and the experience is not uniform from model to model. Maybe Android 3 will help, but we will see.
My point, we have heard no stop for 9 years how someone will beat Apple at their own game. However, they still lead the pack. Why? Because every so called "Apple Killer" has been half baked at best.
I dislike Apple, but time and again they have released products that a stable, and the easiest to use. Those are the products people really want.

Which android phones have you used that were so buggy? Android in its most current incarnation (2.2) is already a better OS the IOS4.0. An iphone killer is really quite subjective. Do you mean hardware/software or sales? There are already phones that are on par if not better technologically then the Iphone, and it will be nearly impossible to dethrone the iphone based on sales due to the fact that there are so many uneducated consumers out there who believe smartphones start and end with the iphone.
