Normally you'd be right. Everything should be deeper than that. That wasn't the case with the high pressure gas line at 16th and 68th in the NE when they blew through it and stalled the job for over a year. I was talking to the prime consultant for the job and he said the HPG was about 6 inches below grade. Scary stuff.
However, on an acreage it is highly doubtful that you hit anything at 6 inches.
