Who are these people - most of my fellow seal hunt protesters are vegan/vegetarian?
Rats are very popular as pets in the UK - and yes they are intelligent and sensitive. We also saw quite a few non domestic ones brought into the wildlife hospital I worked in - which we assisted if they were just injured or euthanised if they had been poisoned.
