It actually reminds me of the seal hunt protesters who have no problem with bear or shark hunts. If everyone in North America got rats as pets (which are intelligent and sensitive animals), it would not take long until we started protecting them too.
The attitude many people have to dogs in other counties is different, just like I am willing to bet many of our parents and grand parents didn't see them the same way we do.
Like I said, all these people offering money for her arrest would be better off writing a cheque to the Sarajevo SOS (their version of the SPCA) to see if they can extend services to rural areas.
