I've only read that one of them was drunk. Even if they both were, it doesn't make it acceptable that the officers didn't step in.
The daughter question was to personalize it for you. Could have used son, sister, brother, mother, whatever. The point is, would you see another person taking advantage of them while they are drunk as a "show"?
