About three years ago I read The Firm by John Grisham. That was pretty good... and that's about the only book I've read
The Hunger Games series is actually really, really well-written and surprisingly realistic given the premise of the books. The last book in the series is one of the most depressing books I've ever read, and doesn't pull any punches; as I said, it's very realistic in regards to how awful a war can be, especially for a supposed "Teen Fiction" series. It's definitely not just one of those teen fiction, flash in the pan series like Twilight or Pretty Little Liars or Vampire Diaries.
