We now know the "Peace bridge" totals 24.5 M. (Design & construction)
The island bridge seems to be less complex from a construction point, though admittedly I have no experience in this field.... I'm purely guessing.

That's not correct.
$25M from MSI (Municipal Sustainable Infrastructure) provincial grant for design of two, construction of one.
$0.5M to design St. Patrick's Island Bridge
+$24.5M to design and construct Peace Bridge
------------------
$25M
Then the construction of the St. Patrick's Island Bridge will be funded by land sales in the East Village
Anyway, this is kind of getting off topic, so back to wards. What does everyone think about the ward system and boundaries in Calgary? Should there be less? More? Different boundaries?
