Pandemic is a really, really fun game for anyone that's never played it.
It's a cooperative boardgame, which is pretty fun and different.
In the same vein, Shadows over Camelot's also really fun, it's also a cooperative boardgame, but there's a chance for having a traitor amongst the group.
