For me it's not so much that they are drowning unwanted puppies, it's the way the girl is doing it. Generally you try to do things as humanely as possible, farm or not (or at least that's the way I was taught to do things on the farm). The way the girl is doing this is equivalent to getting all the starving, thirsty kids in a village together, forcing them in a line, and then individually laughing at each of them as you eat your fancy meal while wasting as much fresh water as possible and telling them that they're all going to die after living miserable lives. At least that's the way I see it.
It's one thing to have to drown unwanted puppies, or puppies you can't possibly take care of. It's another to individually throw them and laugh about it. One is a sad fact of life, the other makes me wonder how many people these people will kill and bury in their backyard.
