That, while having a higher shock value, was probably a more humane way of dealing with it. Quicker, straight to the point, only destroyed the deformed one that probably wouldn't make it, less cruel and sadistic, he probably got absolutely no joy or laughs out of it and didn't bring along a friend to video tape it for the lulz....
