I am looking to wire up my new place for some serious media sharing. I want the hub of that to be a centralized file server running Windows Home Server (WHS). I am thinking of buying a HP MediaSmart EX495 to serve as

Media provider for my WDTV HD Live Media Player
Share movies/pictures/itunes songs between Macs and PCs in the House
Backup said Macs and PCs

Has anyone used an HP MediaSmart or equivalent WHS-based solution to do this?
