You've caught me. I used to own that beauty,but I could not keep up with keeping it so awesome so I had to sell it off and move my way on to a newer car...
I did own it when I signed up for CP in March '04 (inherited it from my mom in 2000, if you believe that outlandish story), but shortly after joining CP it met it's demise, aka I didn't want to keep spending a thousand bucks on repairs every month. It was an 87 Plymouth Voyager SE with about 200k on it when I sold it and I got $2400. So don't laugh too hard at me, that is quite expensive. Mind you, it was worth probably a grand, but some people are suckers. The interior was imaculate, and considering it was 17+ years old when I sold it, that's something to be proud of and what got us a high price.
I loved that van, and still tell stories about it today with my high school buddies. It ran pretty hot, especially with the rear seats out. Beat many little ricers off those red lights, and that baby was 100% stock. Actually no, it wasn't: I had some petro-point purchased tires on it Those should not have been street legal- in a bad way. Also, a good buddy wrote a song about the van, and his band made reference to it in some of their songs. It was a legend, but all legends must die one day.
Bought my new car 6 months used with 16k on it, figure it was a lease back or a rental in a previous life. Am still driving it today, although I must say the van held up better to my torture tests. This car is in dire need of some serious repairs (tune up stuff, full front brakes, shocks... and it is mysteriously low on oil- not dripping, and no smoke so I'm thinking slow burn). Anyway, enough with the teasing:
