Young, attractive, rich (presumably). Definitely a situation where one can end up with a bunch of phonies surrounding them but no real friends. I've read plenty of stories of people in this demographic battling depression and suicidal thoughts/attempts. A person can be completely alone despite being the centre of attention in a room with 100 people in it.
There's certainly more to this story, and it would be interesting to learn more about what drove her to this end.
