They are aren't they. It's a fun movie to turn around in you head, but at the end when you choose an answer it isn't hard to manipulate the many possible meanings to fit your choice.
I think that is one of it's greatest assets, yet I view the mostly redundant gun play to be one of it's biggest faults. There are probably 10k+ shots fired in the movie and only 1 hits an actual character. The Rambo effect wasn't necessary to hold my attention.
But as Flames89 said, this movie was completely worth it's ticket price. And he's right, it's been a while since I said that either.
