like i said, i agree that goalies shouldnt be skating around being unrealistic, but it is a huge handicap to human goalies. because even AI goalies go back and play the puck pretty regularly now. that was huge progress for EA, but they need to refine controls and/or animations to allow humans to do it. because of the trapazoid, behind the net plays are about all that are reasonable; with that taken away for humans, they cant really play the puck.

Meh, I think the only time a goalie ever plays the puck smoothly is
A) When there is absolutely no pressure of a forecheck.
b) When Brodeur is handling the puck.
I think unless these one of two factors are present, playing the puck should be discouraged.
