i agree in general, but the goalie playing the puck behind the net is a play that occurs countless times in real hockey. yet in EA games it has always been impossible. most of the problem IMO is because of the collision issues with the net. in real life, goalies easily slide around the net to the back. in EA, you have to make a huge arc to avoid hitting the net.

like i said, i agree that goalies shouldnt be skating around being unrealistic, but it is a huge handicap to human goalies. because even AI goalies go back and play the puck pretty regularly now. that was huge progress for EA, but they need to refine controls and/or animations to allow humans to do it. because of the trapazoid, behind the net plays are about all that are reasonable; with that taken away for humans, they cant really play the puck.
