Much, much different.
Gtd ( getting things done). With omni, you create projects, tasks associated with those projects, contexts (ie this task is an errand). Then from there, you can set deadlines, start dates and what not.
It syncs to the cloud on all my devices so my tasks are always updated. Can filter by context, and get nice little checkboxes for your tasks for certain days
I am confident i don't even use omni to it's full power, sclitheroe might!
But for me, it makes me much more efficient and organized. They have a mac, iPhone, and iPad app.
