my (unfortunately now closed) business used 1and1 as a host, and they always seemed to do the job ,and do it well. never had any problems at all.
you could try using bittorrent to distribute your files... you'd have to do some reading up, but given you're distributing stuff you've made its all entirely legal and above board. there's a way of setting up bittorrent to run on a web server so it sends the data itsself, and then when you're on the net you can share the load, and whoever downloads your movies will share them too as they get them.
like i say, it'd require a bit of reading up, but if you're interested i'll hunt out some sites / pages to start you off. but i'll do that tommorrow, cos it's gone 2am here
