Now, would those teams have gotten that far without Favre? Likely not. But at the end of the day, Favre's track record for big game success has been tarnished to those that actually look past the media's love affair with his "gunslinger" approach to the game and regular season heroics.

No doubt Minnesota is in a better position with Favre than without him, but it's been 3 years straight that Favre has played like a dog to end the season.

really?

You can't deny he's failed spectacularly in big games since the 90's ended
I guess if you want to pin the blame on him for a late INT last year or 3 years ago...knock yourself out. Last year for instance, I would focus more on the 6 fumbles of which 3 were lost as a bigger factor in the loss.

Against the Giants I remember a GB team that ran for less than 30 yards...in an OT game in frigid weather where it was very difficult to throw at all...though I will readily admit his last throw that game was poor and Eli was a better QB that day.

I still do not understand how making the NFC championship game can ever be considered "failing spectacularly"...win or lose when there were 14 other QB's sitting at home watching that game on TV, all who would of given up a testicle to be there playing.
