Yeah, getting married really helps. So does getting older.

I found TD Insurance to be the cheapest, when I looked last year. I think it might be only available to groups, as I was informed of it through a U of C alumni magazine.

Right now, I am 29, and so is my wife. We insure three cars, two of them are rated as sports cars and the other is a 99 Grand Am GT. No Collision coverage, but we do have Comprehensive on all three, and $2 million Liability. I have 1 ticket on my record, and my wife has none. We have no accident claims. The total cost is $2280 a year.

Insurace rates are out of control. When I was 20, I had NINE tickets on my record. They were spaced out just right so I didnt lose my license; I had one demerit left for a while. I was insuring a 1984 Camaro Z28, with PL/PD and Comprehensive. My cost was "only" $3200 a year. I shutter to think what that would cost someone now.

EDIT: Went to the Meloche Monnex website, and learned it IS TD Insurace. Caught me by suprise, because Meloche Monnex has not appeared on any documentation I have ever recieved from the insurance company - just the TD symbol everywhere.
