I guess I'm in the dark on this Sudan issue. Are the Sudanese immigrants known for higher crime-rates than other statistical groups?
I've noticed that people can tell when you're afraid of them. Then, the cycle begins; you cross the street out of fear, they cross to meet up out of anger, and boom, conflict.
Most humans are good people IMO. I am not afraid of walking around in the daytime in any neighbourhood in Calgary. Walking around at 2AM anywhere will increase your chances of crossing paths with people who aren't good natured (or in their right mind).
I hope most people will be welcoming to new Canadians, rather than alienate them with broad generalizations, as that's one of the ways the cycle of stupidity perpetuates itself.
If there is actually a neighbourhood named "Sudan-town", my apologies for reading too much into your intolerant statements.
