Surprised no one's mentioned Ecco shoes. For me they are best value shoes out there. They look great, last forever, and arent that expensive ($150 - $300 depending). Not to mention there great customer service. They've single handedly turned me into a bit of shoe snob.

I agree that you have to look good in a business perspective. There is a fine line between too casual and too formal. Alot of it does depend on the industry that you're in. I'm in O+G as an Area Manager and I can get away with jeans (nice ones) and a dress shirt because thats the "culture" at work. I'd be very out of place in a suit. But some guys come in with ratty jeans, showing chest hair, and havent shaved in 4 days. It looks like crap and it ABSOLUTELY affects how people see you in a business setting.

Slob it up on the weekend, but not at work.
