$50,000 is the going rate, owed to the traffickers, no doubt this debt will be paid by honest Canadians, the victims of the crimes that will repay the debt to the criminals that "sold" them a good taxpayer funded life in Canada.
In 1980 during a harsh recession and interest rates approaching 20%, we were forced to accept 50,000 Vietnamese boat people and provide
everything because they didn't have any family or sponsorship in Canada.
How did that work out for society ? I don't know, just throwing that out there.
