Really how much of it is Colangelo's fault here? Aside from getting too many Euro's, I don't blame a single thing on him. His trades to get a star or semi-star players (Hedo, O'Neal, Marion), just did not work out. They were excellent deals for the most part, at the time. This off-season's moves simply fell through, not because of his own fault at all, but because of the things the other teams involved did. How can we blame the guy in this case? His comments of Bosh in many ways were to simply say, "hey, the franchise can move on without him"...it wasn't fabricated and it wasn't malicious, it was just the truth. Certainly he hasn't done everything right, but he definitely tries and doesn't stand for losing. There have been plenty of players who actually have publically said how much of a good guy he is (namely Jermaine O'Neal). The city in general is what a lot of players have a "problem" with, but the second the franchise starts winning, is the second that whole aura changes (like back in the VC days). Quite simply, if you got rid of Colangelo, there is absolutely nobody out there who is a better replacement.
