I rarely browse. Not something I like to do on a phone....ANY phone.
That last linked review is proof that even the new webkit browser in OS6 is not as fast as other phones. So be it.

So you don’t find it concerning at all, that with all of OS6’s focus on social media, all of which lives on the web, that this performance might affect you in ways other than straight browsing?
So many things need to be rendered in that Webkit engine besides web pages - RSS feeds, HTML email, web-powered apps like Facebook, Flickr, etc.
