Exactly.
The whole stigma is based on small sample sizes. There's more than enough analysis out there that clearly finds there's little to no correlation between a catcher's ERA (adjusted for pitcher performance) from year to year. If there was such a thing as good game callers and bad, shouldn't the good ones be good every season?
