An author was on QR 77 Sports Talk Aug 9th, talking about Sports Conspiracies. Did anyone else hear that? I think it was this book:

The Top 30 conspiracies are listed there in the table of contents. What do you think of any of these? Seemed like a lot of circumstantial nonsense with very little hard evidence.

The author suggests Superbowl III was rigged by the NFL for the Jets to win, to increase the popularity of the AFL teams.

He suggested all pro leagues try to engineer long playoff series between teams from larger markets.

He suggested Michael Jordan did not "retire" the first time, but was forced out by the NBA to hide his gambling problems.
