I've found younger generations (such as mine - Gen Y) make far too many excuses to vote:

- I'm not informed
- All the candidates sucks
- I'm protesting the vote
- What? No online voting?
- Forget it - Politics bore me

Then they complain that there are a bunch of stooges in power and can't wait for a change. The older generations, IMO, have a larger respect for democracy. Voter apathy will continue to plague Canada on all political levels for years to come.

It's not that they have more respect for democracy, they just have more time to vote and complain.
