My name is Matt Britton, and I am a 33 year old Calgary Flames fan living in Edmonton. I have been a fan since 1980, at a time when I lived in Montreal, until 1996.

If you are interested in it, I have created a facebook group in honor of 2 Calgary flames Draft picks who had their lives taken from us before they could begin their careers.

one is George Pelawa, who was drafted in 1986 by the Flames from Bemidji Minnesota. He was named Mr. Hockey that year. He died in a head on collision a few months after being drafted by the Flames

The other is Mickey Renaud, from the Windsor Spitfires. He died in Febraury 2008 from a heart condition: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and was a 5th round Draft pick of the Flames.
