Honestly, I am not one to wear my i-pod outside from walking into work or over to a buddy's places (never in the car, that is simply ######ed). But, I have found when shopping for grocery's (or whatever) abroad it makes it much easy to have earphones in. It seems everytime I dont I have 10 people come up and start talking to me in a foriegn language asking god knows what and I have to try and explain I have no clue what they're talking about! So yes, I wear the ipod alot more overseas just to make life a little simpler.
Edit: I leave em' in at the tills as well - this way I dont have to speak to the cashier and thus am never outed as a foreigner! HaHa!
