Sounds like a lot of FUD to me...
Android ships more units than they have before because they are shiny and new. BB still shipped a ton of units and sales were up 4%.
Some countries are threatening to ban the use of BBM, not BB's. Edit: In reading some more, it looks like BB data services that would be effected in these countries as the countries want more access to encrypted data. Hmmm.sounds to me like RIM is doing the right thing and not bowing currently. I don't think the government should have access to any of my information regardless of country.
They apparently included about 2,000 people in that survey. Not a huge sample size at all IMO.
And you points about the new 9800 are simply opinion.
