Find something that your interested in and then match it to an organization that needs that skill.
If your going to volunteer, volunteer to do something that your passionate about.
If you like working with kids, then coach, or volunteer for a reading program.
If you like doing logistical work then help out the food bank.
If you like building stuff then volunteer for habitat for humanity.
If you like history then volunteer at a museum.
