Considering Android was a bit player even a year ago, there is no stopping them now. Apple's only chance at slowing momentum is to get on Verizon now. The problem is they need Verizon way more than Verizon needs them.
Apple will probably always have their niche following (much like macs) and Blackberry doesn't have a real competitor to their BES yet. Don't see where there is room for Palm. Everyone is throwing all their R&D money at Android now too, they are only going to get stronger.
