He signed a contract and he should honour it, its not like he's not making good money, he has 20million gauranteed on the table. Thats pretty nice. Not to mention he will get more when his contract is up. You also seem to have the blinders on that, that I do think he is a great CB, in my opinion around the top 5. I need to see him perform well more than one year for me to think he's one of the best. The best players are the ones that do it year in and year out. This is my opinion from a dedicated football fan, you may or may not like that is fine, but frankly quite a few people agree with me.
I have seen every Jets football game the last 15 years except something like 4 or 5. I am an American my devotion to sports teams goes Longhorns, Jets, and then Flames. Revis doesn't have 20 mil guaranteed, that is a team option (which he will likely get unless he gets a very serious injury). NFL contracts favor the owners. He is making 1 mil this year. I don't blame him for holding out. I think that it's ridiculous that people expect the players to honor contracts, but the team doesn't have to. What if Revis takes a head on collision this year and is paralyzed? Do you think the Jets will pick up that option out of the kindness of their hearts?
