I was getting to that day-to-day point too. Not my day job, but doing live sound or playing my horn suddenly felt completely wrong and not fun unless I was blazed. If I had to do a gig and didn't have any I would be scanning the bar for patrons to follow out or asking the musicians for a score. I played since I was eight (I wish it sounded like it...lol...), so many more years without than with and never had the "fun" problem, so that was a big indicator for me. A run in with the police recently being the last straw. Man did it suck though, but even now just a month later I feel effing fantastic and wish I had done this years ago. Everyone in their own time I guess.
