It's not like Buck, Frasor, Downs, Overbay and Gregg are horrible players. Overbay is likely going to be traded for anything in the coming month, but the rest of them are going to be type A (Downs, possibly Frasor) or B free agents, which means they get a supplementary 1st round pick for Gregg and Buck, possibly a 1st rounder + supplementary 1st for Frasor + Downs.

If the other teams didn't want to match that price, then it's more than fine to wait until the offseason and get those picks, or resign those players, it's not like we have a bunch of spectacular bullpen guys on the farm anyway.

I'm pleased by the results of the day, because it means that AA wants a certain value out of players if he's going to move them. If not, then he'll keep them instead of being in a rush to dump them.
