Interesting that Americans and Canadians of German descent weren't locked away during WWII. I imagine it's because they're not a visible minority, or even a minority at all.

Plenty of Germans went back to Germany to fight during WW2. I know in the town I lived in Iowa about 1/3 of the streets were renamed in late 30's because of it.
Someone like me that has dual citizenship (germany, USA) I would fight for both countries if need be. I actually tried to sign up for the American army but with a medical issues they wouldn't let me.
But like someone else said. The German population wasn't a minority per say like the Japanese during ww2 in the USA. Also A lot of Germans took to the American Ideals and wanted to be Americans.
