On a more serious note, it's a toss up. The orange tastes better, but is more of a pain in the ass to eat. All that peeling is worth it, but I can have the apple finished by the time you get all the white crap out of the cracks. On the other hand, there is not danger in biting too deeply into an orange. None of that core garbage. Just fruit from peel to peel. Plus, with oranges, you never end up with pieces of skin in your teeth (unless you are one of those orange cutters who stick wedges in your mouth & try to suck all the juice out. At the end of the day, I think I'm an orange man. The extra work is worth it.

ah, but you're forgetting the seed factor. You can control not biting into the core of an apple by being diligent. Orange seeds are completely random and are an unpleasant surprise....and no, the extra effort is not worth it. They're not that tasty. I'd even say Oranges are the most over-rated fruit on the market today.
