You defrosted your fridge, you didn't fix the thermostat.
Frost free fridges defrost regularly on a timer, maybe once a day for 5 minutes or once a week or something, I don't know.
If ice builds up around the (tube and fins) ?? lol that the refrigerant runs thru it stops the air exchange, then fridge no worky.
