Driving through P.A. on the way to the cabin reminds me of driving through Edmonton in the middle of November when there is no snow on the ground: it's dirty, it feels run down, and you can't wait to get the hell out of town.

Saskatchewan is a great province, and has a lot of great places to visit and explore (I really enjoy Waskesiu and the surrounding area). However if you want to circle a place on your map not to live, P.A. would be up there on my list, right next to Kindersley and Edmonton.
Unfortunately you are very right; P.A. has some huge issues for a city of its size. Not denying that at all, although SOME people (not you, you've given a fair and accurate assessment based on your own experiences) like to overexaggerate some of the things that happen in P.A., and it just annoys me because I have lived there and it's not as bad as some people like to say.

Fortunately, that has been a lot of growth in the city in the last five years or so. I'm hoping it will continue in that direction.

Again, thanks for a fair assessment of Saskatchewan, and P.A. Like I said, you are speaking from personal experience which validates your opinion.
